New Year's Eve

Today Teddy and Tommy went ice fishing with my dad's friend TK. TK lives on Spirit Lake and loves to ice fish. The boys dressed in warm clothes and headed out for TK's house. Teddy said that it was pretty chilly on the ice. They each drilled their own hole and dropped in their lines. The ice was 6 inches thick where they camped out. The boys brought home 25 little salmon! After cleaning their fish, the boys said I need to hunt down my dad's smoker so that we can have smoked salmon. The boys really had a lot of fun. My dad's friends have all been so welcoming and friendly to us. TK wanted to hang out with my boys because they are Larry's grandsons. That is pretty cool. We all miss him.
Tonight I am making homemade pizza and then we are going to hang out at the church to bring in the New Year. We are crashing the youth group's party. :-)
We are supposed to get some more snow tonight. We'll see....

Our after-lunch snow escapades. Lizzy was relentless with the icy ammunition and it caught up with her in the end. She acted so innocent through it all. Bella's favorite thing was running through the snow. I guess her Cuban blood isn't too overwhemingly influential in establishing her opinion of snow.

Second Snow

It's December 30th and it's been snowing all day. It's finally starting to accumulate and it looks beautiful. Bella's not a fan, but presently she's sound asleep next to me on a chair in the kitchen. Holly's itching to go out for a candid photo shoot. We're having left-over lentil stew for lunch. It'll be scrumptious I presume.
